Services for healthcare professionals

Tools for more human, reflective care

Because people are more than their diagnoses

As healthcare professionals, we often feel confident supporting the physical needs of our clients - but less so when it comes to the spiritual, existential, social, or emotional dimensions of their experience.

There are good reasons for this. These aspects of care are not well supported within our healthcare systems. Time and funding are limited. Training and resources are scarce. The focus naturally gravitates toward the tangible, while the intangible - yet essential - dimensions of care are often left unmet.

These are the parts of people’s lives that don’t fit neatly into a care plan, yet they shape everything: how people cope, what they fear, how they make decisions, and what gives their life meaning.

what i offer for healthcare professionals and educators

My training and talks are designed to help you engage with these deeper layers of care in a way that is ethical, inclusive and grounded in evidence. Whether you're part of a clinical team, an educational institution or a multidisciplinary practice, this work supports you in becoming a more confident, reflective and holistic practitioner. My approach acknowledges that health and spirituality are deeply contextual - shaped by culture, history, and lived experience - and I strive to hold space that honours this diversity.

Kind words from participants of previous workshops

"What a delight to present the “What’s Spirituality got to do with it” workshop for Illawarra Shoal Haven Local Health District social workers with Heather today. Her easy, warm personality and confidence and wealth of knowledge on the current trends on spirituality in Australia and the rest of the world combined with years of practical experience made for a great foundation from which to work together!"

Sarah Kinstead, Chaplaincy Coordinator, Illawarra Shoal Haven LHD Region

Heather laid out the whole journey- inclusive of the whole family, with honesty.

- Megan

I really appreciated Heather's honesty in sharing her and her family's journey... her talk gave me a greater understanding of what a mother and other family members go through when facing losing a child.

- Heather

It was helpful to learn from Heather about what happens between family members during loss.

- Arthur

Heather gave a clear framework to face and process these life altering moments.

- Heather

It was meaningful to hear the personal and honest sharing of Heather's journey... and have opportunities to share.

- Ness

Heather's workshop was helpful to learn about the different stages of the healthcare journey, and to verbalise our own story with others.

- Brom Morphett, Pastoral Ministries Coordinator
